The accuracy of a meter shall be tested by the Utility Services upon written request of the customer and/or property owner, who shall pay in advance the fee for the size meter at the above listed amount. If upon completion of the certified test, the water meter shall be found to register over three (3%) percent more water than actually passes through it, another water meter will be substituted and the test fee shall be repaid through the Borough Claim Fund to the customer and/or property owner and the current quarterly bill shall be adjusted by the percentage above three (3%) percentage that over registered.
